This year in the Chinese zodiac is the year of the pig, but this is not just any little porker. It's the year of the red pig, which I think means it's the year of the BBQ! Pass the ribs and sauce please!
Well, in my family, this happens to be the year of the baby. Koichi and I were blessed to have Lily on April 1, my younger brother and his wife are expecting their first-born in August, and now my older brother and his wife have been selected to adopt a little boy as well. It's our own little baby boom!
I think my mom and dad are probably estatic to become grandparents three times around this year. I'm pretty excited to have a little niece and nephew to play with, and cousins for Lily to grow up with. So far, the year of the pulled pork and burnt ends is turning out to be a pretty good year.

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to hear that Dwain and Jen are going to get to adopt! What an answer to prayer!
Lily Pretty Lily is really beautiful! Thanks for the updated pics!
Dorian, I read about your precious baby's birth on Grace's blog, and we prayed for you through the rough time! I'm glad to read your full story; although I'm sure it was terrifying! God has brought you through it, and we praise Him for that! She truly is a gorgeous little miracle! Congratulations!
One of the guys that works for me told me that he had asked his kids (all five of them!) to pray for us when he found out we were up for an adoption staffing a couple of weeks ago. When we found out that we had been selected, he told his kids - and the oldest one said, "wow, Dad, prayer really works, huh?" I'd say YES.
And those have to be some of the cutest pics of Lily. We sure enjoyed seeing you guys last week!
